More TIME: Citywide street tasks assure smoother streets but have still left many New Orleans motorists in a rut. But to complete the careers, New Orleans officers now say they will have to have to encourage the federal government to extend the deadline to expend billions in federal funding. Mayor LaToya Cantrell mentioned Tuesday that the town will check with FEMA to continue to keep the spigot open until finally 2025. Why all the delays? Cantrell blamed it on slow-strolling from her predecessor, coupled with worker shortages, inflation and supply-chain troubles.
